Gawafa v0.1 — 2026

Activities, organized.

What it is
A web application for communities that organize recurring activities — sports, games, study groups, walks, or anything else. It handles activity listings, member registration, and waiting lists.
Who it's for
Primary: community organizers and activity hosts who currently manage registrations through chat groups.

Secondary: individuals who want to create a small activity and invite others.
What it does
  • Activity pages with date, time, location, and available spots
  • Registration — members join with one action
  • Automatic waiting list when an activity is full
  • Host management across a community
  • Community calendar showing all upcoming activities
  • Notifications when a spot opens up
  • Google Calendar import — communities can sync activities from an existing calendar
What it doesn't do
  • It does not replace WhatsApp, Telegram, or Discord
  • It does not store conversations or messages between members
  • It does not send newsletters or push marketing
  • It does not handle payments or transactions
How it works
01 A community leader creates a community page and adds hosts.
02 Hosts create activity listings with date, time, location, and capacity.
03 Members register through the activity page. The host sees who is coming.
04 If the activity fills up, a waiting list opens automatically.
05 When someone cancels, the next person on the waiting list is notified.
Also works for
Individuals organizing a one-off activity — a run, a board game session, a study group. No community required.
Status
active   Experimental. Being tested with small communities. Behavior and features may change.
